Dr. Josephine Osire, MD is a certified Family Medicine Physician. She completed her Medical studies at the Medical College of Virginia. The Medical College forms part of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Dr. Osire graduated in 2007 after which she completed her residency in family medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
Dr. Osire has extensive experience in primary as well as urgent medical care. The concept of “Holistic Medicine” forms a central part of her medical methodology. She believes in healing the whole person instead of just the ill or injured parts.
She specialized in family medicine because she believes that good primary care is the foundation of all forms of medical care. With proper primary care close to home, people live healthier and more fulfilled lives.
Furthermore, Dr. Osire completed a year of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Using the knowledge and skills that she acquired during her residency, she has developed a highly skilled approach to women’s health.
Dr. Osire enjoys spending time with her family. She also likes to show her compassion for her patients and their unique health issues. She has completed many marathons supporting breast cancer and other medical conditions, she volunteers in church missions in the U.S., Guatemala and Africa.
